The good news is, the Sims 4 game code is getting updated (from Python 3.3.5 to 3.7.0) in the next patch. The “bad” news is, it will break ALL SCRIPT MODS made using current code, similar to how November 2017’s Cats & Dogs patch changed a test method, and broke nearly all script mods from before then.
We’ve recently been informed the Python update and the pre-pack tuning file changes will be coming in one patch, not long before Get Famous is set to launch (November 16).
Protip: Be sure to do one last round of batch fixes on your CAS and Buildbuy CC with Sims4Studio BEFORE you update your game. We’ll be waiting for them to update S4S post-patch, also. The same goes for Sims 4 Tray Importer… if you have custom content, finish everything you want to do with both of these programs, before the end of October.

Once the next patch comes, mods still being updated will quickly become separated from those that have been abandoned. When you get ready to update in November, first, take ALL your script mods OUT. Put them aside in a “Check for Updates” folder on the Desktop, if you like.
We really won’t know what will change for CAS, Buildbuy, or GameChanger package style mods, until after the November patch has been deployed, and keep in mind, when Get Famous drops, it may lead to even more changes.
With what we already know is coming, I’d recommend doing a vanilla test after you’ve updated, then, 50/50 your CC back in to see what still works. Leave the gamechangers for after your CAS and Buildbuy are working, this time.
Give creators time to update what needs it, a little extra patience will be necessary from all of us, once things get rolling in November.

Please be patient with modders because they are gonna have a hard time with this update. Be polite and don’t cause them to leave the community with hate!!!!
Remember, if you think you will find this stressful, then click “Go Offline” in Origin so it will not update and just update after the fuss has died down and you know what mods have been fixed (but remember you will not be able to download the new EP until you have updated).
I think I’m gonna go on a building spree while I wait for the mods to be fixed.
